PearlDamour is beginning the new year in major planning mode. Katie is heading to Seattle this month to start laying the groundwork for a major residency PearlDamour will be doing at the University of Washington School of Drama, where we will be working with students on a spin-off of the MILTON project, to be developed throughout the ’15/’16 academic year. Spending time at UW will also help us get to Milton-Freewater (only 4 hours away), where we will be moving towards a presentation of the show in spring 2016. Lisa has been deep in creative planning discussions with the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans, who will be presenting HOW TO BUILD A FOREST there in October 2015. Along with our collaborator Shawn Hall, she and the CAC curator and education outreach folks are working hard to extend the project into the diverse communities of New Orleans– the project’s true home. Our newest site-specific project LOST IN THE MEADOW goes into pre-production this month, with a workshop planned for March.
