We are back in our respective homes after an educational and inspiring 5 days with the people of Milton-Freewater, OR. We are taking some time to do some grant writing to support the project, continue to refine our project website, and also prepare for our upcoming trip: our 2nd to Milton, NC and our first to Milton, WI. It will really feel great to have visited all five of “our” Miltons– by the end of June, that will have happened! While we’re in North Carolina, we will officially begin our partnership with Haymaker Theater, a company based in Durham, with whom we received a NET Exchange grant. PearlDamour and Haymaker will be exploring together what it means to take experimental work to smaller towns or to audiences who aren’t familiar with an experimental aesthetic.
