Well this has been kind of an amazing month for PearlDamour. We’ve moved into Happyland, our fabric is silk screened and our sewing machines are oiled up and running. We have friends tying mica to nets, other friends scavenging for cardboard tubes, and still more friends, fans, and supporters kicking in to make the FOREST grow– our USA Projects fund raising campaign is in its final days, and we are at 110% of our baseline goal! Our collaborator Shawn just got us a residency at the Antennae Gallery in New Orleans, and we’ll be there in April working on the aspect of the project that is about mapping materials used and processes undertaken. And apart from spending more time on facebook than we ever have before, the PearlDamour team has been out in the world: Katie attending the New Play Convening at the Arena Stage where she met with theater makers and presenters from all over the country, and Lisa back in NYC having meetings to get her Broadway production of DETROIT underway.
