We’re posting this entry right in the middle of our tech process at the Kitchen. From 2-10 each day we work through the build, and then in the morning we do all the last minute stuff that needs to happen now that we’re in a new (taller!) space: switch out tie line for the groves, scheme new ways of weighting down the big tree branches so they’ll lower down easily (water bottles, at the moment!), adding pockets to our worker suits (for the corks and the poofs), and working in our flash mob team (when do the text bubbles come in? how quickly can they smooth a pelt fringe?). All this is in prep for FRIDAY, when our run starts. Thanks to the Kitchen, HOW TO BUILD A FOREST is FREE! Just show up at 2 or any time after that and come on in. We suggest slowing down, taking your time, and being with the forest as it evolves and disappears.
